WHAT IS BBR SKIN REJUVENATION? (FACE & BODY)
We’re thrilled to bring you the latest advancement in clinical skincare: BBR Broad Band Rejuvenation Light Therapy, also known as BBL.
As the demand for clinical facials continues to grow, we understand that our clients seek more than just a routine treatment – they desire a transformation.
BBR Photofacial is here to deliver precisely that. It provides a clinical ‘correcting’ facial that offers an array of skin rejuvenation benefits as well as reduction of many skin conditions and concerns such as acne, rosacea, pigmentation such as sun spots and frekles and regeneration of new collagen cells.
Using cutting edge computerised technology to reduce sensation and produce younger looking skin that is clearer, firmer and more even in tone and texture with virtually no pain.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The BBR System brings you a breakthrough in light energy delivery. Through its innovative BBR mode, this system gently heats the upper layers of your skin with multiple flashes at lower intensity and frequencies. This dynamic but controlled motion delivery technique eliminates the risks associated with traditional light therapy devices, particularly for individuals with darker skin tones. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. this process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colours and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition, the photo thermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness, kill acne causing bacteria to reduce breakouts and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions or age spots.
This system is equiped with advanced cooling features, allowing the use of high-powered energy with minimal discomfort.
WHAT SKIN TYPES DOES BBR TREAT?
BBR Skin Rejuvenation is suitable for all skin types, even tanners. This is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilised. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL, BBR treatments can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.
BBR TRATMENT INTERVALS
BBR is a safe and effective approach to younger looking skin.
A treatment course would consist of the following:
- 6-8 treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart.
- Maintenance treatments recommend – single treatments or additional courses are safe.
- A new treatment course can be started immediately at the conclusion of another.
We recommend 2-4 maintenance treatments per year after the conclusion of initial course.
WHAT IS SHR?
SHR stands for Super-fast Hair Reduction, it is a step forward in permanent hair reduction. SHR is the most advanced way of removing unwanted hair today. It is a new generation of IPL systems using in motion technology. Performing SHR treatments are 4 times faster than traditional IPL and Laser, it is safer and pain free.
SHR is suitable for all skin types, even tanners, all hair types including white and grey. this is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilised. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL, SHR can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.
HOW DOES SHR WORK?
SHR works by a revolutionary approach, rather than bombarding your skin with high amounts of Joules (energy), SHR fires multiple shots but a low Joules, in doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed for hair destruction. The most you will feel is warmth and a tingling sensation, some clients compare it to a warm massage. SHR utilises In-Motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion over the skin, easy to compare to ironing.
SHR TREATMENT COURSE AND INTERVALS
SHR has the same treatment course recommendation as all other light based hair reduction systems (Laser or IPL), that being 6-10 treatments. However, SHR treatments require treatment at 4 week intervals. Near the end of the treatment, 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off the course.
A treatment course would consist of the following:
- 10 treatments total 6-8 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart + 2 additional treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
- We recommend maintenance treatments as required.
WHAT IS IPL HAIR REDUCTION?
Intense Pulsed Light is an extremely effective way of treating unwanted hair.
IPL works by emitting light into the skin. The light is then absorbed by the pigment in the hair and turned into heat. The heat produced then damages the cells responsible for growing new hair. The hair has to be in the Anagen Phase of growing for successful distraction.
For effective results ensure you have not waxed or plucked the area of treatment for a minimum of four weeks on the body, three weeks on the face. You may shave the area if you wish. It is important not to have exposure to the sun or use a tanning bed for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Do not apply fake tan for at least 10 days before your appointment.
IPL HAIR REDUCTION TREATMENT COURSE AND INTERVALS
- 8-10 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart + 2 additional treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
- We recommend maintenance treatments as required.
- Results will vary depending on the hair’s thickness and colour.
- The treatment is referred to as hair reduction (not removal), as we can only guarantee up to 80% hair reduction in any patient.
